Can you explain what mitochondria are? Where are mitochondria found?

    Mitochondria are a n organelle found in large numbers in most cells, in which the biochemical processes of respiration and energy production occur. It has a double membrane, the inner layer being folded inward to form layers (cristae).

    Mitochondria is an organelle located in a cell, it is mainly recognized as the powerhouse of the cell. it is in charge of providing energy to the cell, in order to carry out its functions. it breaks down ingested food by the cell and turns it into energy. energy not used is known as ATP and is stored energy, is used when needed. you're welcome!
