Cell A does more work than cell B.

    Explanation:

Mitochondria are the double membrane-bound organelle found in almost all eukaryotic cells programmed to generate large amount of energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

The number of mitochondria in a cell varies depending on the function of cell for e. g-

    1. In Red blood cells (RBC), Hair cells and outer skin cells - lack mitochondria as they do not require ATP.

    2. In Heart cells, Muscle cells, liver cells - have more mitochondria than other cells as they are directly involved in the production of energy for normal body functions.

This shows that cells with more mitochondria are involved in the biological processes which require more energy in the form of ATP while cells with less mitochondria are not involved in such processes.

Some cells have more mitochondria than others. Your fat cells have many mitochondria because they store a lot of energy. Muscle cells have many mitochondria, which allows them to respond quickly to the need for doing work. So you can assume it is either a fat or muscle cell!
