Psychrophile is a type of organism and bacteria that can grow and reproduce in very low temperatures. Besides low and cold temperatures these organisms adapt to high pressure and high concentrations of salt. Their body has adapted to these types of harsh environments by having a body that keeps them from freezing. Their enzymes had evolved to engage in activities such as activity-stability-flexibility as a method for adapting to the cold. This type of bacteria can grow in refrigerated temperatures and they could be found in foods and dairy products.
