Why do plants need energy? Do skin cells or muscle cells have more mitochondria?

    Look at this simply. All living things require energy survive, even plants. Mitochindria suppy energy: which does more work ... skin cells or muscle cells? Skin cells just "sit" there, while muscle cells move.
