A radio interferometer is a series or array of radio antennas or elements that are used primarily for astronomical observations. These antennas receive radio waves from the same astronomical object and then joined together to the same receiver. They may be placed close to one another or kilometers apart. Radio interferometer's dynamics are similar to that of an optical interferometer, but since radio waves are much longer than light waves, the scale of the said instrument is much greater.
