Due to a genetic mutation, a deer is born with a missing toe. This makes it difficult for the deer to escape from predators.

    The population will decrease or also have the mutation if its able to be passed on

    Explanation:

    because the deer is missing a toe it cannot run as fast, this means that it will most likely be killed. Because the deer was born with it it is a hereditary mutation. Which can be passed on. That means it's offspring will also have the mutation making the population fragile.
