What is the role of membranes in DNA transcription?

    After the transcription of mRNA from DNA the mRNA needs to exit the nucleus and enter the cytoplasm where it will be translated to form protein. The transcribed mRNA exits the nuclear membrane via nuclear pores interspersed through out the membrane.
