    A person who suffers delirium experience lack of awareness of oneself or one’s surroundings. Delirium is a serious disturbance in mental abilities results in confused thinking and reduced environmental awareness. This manifestation is transient and usually reversible but it can occur at any age especially in elderly who have previously compromised mental status.
