    The nurse should explain that cigarette smoking is not suggested for clients like you that have vascular problems.

    Smoking will increase the risk of developing intermittent claudication. Stop smoking will be beneficial since it could prevent the disease progress into rest pain It also reduces the risk of heart attack.
