Explain the function of the thick bark found on deciduous trees.

    Deciduous trees are found in temperate climate. These trees drop their leaves during winter season to conserve water and reduce breakage of branches due to heavy snow. The thick barks found on deciduous trees serve as protector of the trees as these limit moisture loss from the trees.
