    A. The X chromosome is twice the size of the Y chromosome.

    The reason for this is because if there was information on the Y chromosome that coded for some like the cell of a heart, then an organism with XX (or a female) wouldn't receive these genes. So, Y chromosomes only contain information directly relating to the male reproductive system.
