Is ammonia a reactant or product?

    Reactants are substances initially present in a chemical reaction that are consumed during the reaction to make products.

    If the reaction ammonia is a part of is reversible, it can be either I'm assuming. Whatever is on the left side of the arrow is the reactant and what's on the right side is the product (s).

    It depends in whether it is a synthesis reaction or a decomposition reactant
