The types of individuals in a population that are represented by the two ends of a bell curve are those with an extreme variation of a specific trait. The bell curve is a normal distribution. It is the most common type of distribution. The greatest part of the distribution belongs to the variations of a trait near to the average value. However, two ends of the bell curve belong to individuals with an extreme variation of the trait.
