All theories are hypotheses but not all hyptheses are theories. francis is wants to know if a specific hypothesis he is researching is a theory. Which describes how francis would know the hypothesis is a theory

    A theory and a hypothesis differ in that a theory is a tested, well substantiated explanation for a set of proven factors. In this example, Francis would know the hypothesis is a theory if the hypothesis is well tested and can be proven.
