The genetic information on DNA can be utilized to produce directly only proteins. The whole process is known as central dogma which includes replication, transcription and translation. The lipids and carbohydrates can't be directly transcribed from DNA. Instead enzymes (Proteins) are formed from DNA that catalyzes the formation of other macronutrients such as lipids and carbohydrates.

Like mammalian fatty acid synthase enzyme complex catalyze the formation of lipid in mammals. The subunits of lipids are either taken in diet like Omega 3 are produced in body by lipogenesis. Lipids are formed of glycerol and fatty acids such as triglyceride are made up of three fatty acids and one glycerol molecule.
