    Regeneration is the ability of organism to regrow a part which is lost due to any reason. Regeneration can be seen in lizards. When any predator grabs lizard tail the lizard loses its tail to escape.

    The tail which is lost during the encounter regenerates again. The regeneration takes time because it is a gradual process. At least 60 days are required to regenerate a lizard tail.

    Cell division takes place at the regeneration site very quickly and several genes are switched on which shows that DNA has genetic recipe for regeneration.
