A forester is someone who is involved with the scientific side of the managing of a forest. They traditionally have areas of expertise, but most foresters essentially monitor the ecological impact of their protected area and seek to conserve it.

Some foresters would need to:
-Take other children or people wanting to apply for a job around the forest. They have to explain the rules and how they should act in certain situations that might include emergencies.
-They have to complete special training. It's their responsibility to take courses in agriculture, biology as well as maths.
- They should have a clear interest in looking after the wild-life and has to be prepared to be outside most of the time, even in the worse or terrible weather conditions.
