    The number 22,877 of the gene that encodes the first protein with the protein ID 298599 indicates that the amount of the RNA transcript of this gene made in the mycorrhizal parts of the fungus was 22,877 times higher when they were associated with the Douglas fir compared to those made in soil mycelium away from the root of the plants.
