The fruit fly represented in the diagram below has unusual, curled wings that formed after exposure to radiation. In order for the fly to pass this trait on to its offspring a change has to occur

    I'm not sure what the question is, but the only traits that are passed down are the ones that can be found in the germ (sex) cells. Radiation exposure alters somatic (body) cells usually, but can also alter germ cells, so it depends.
