    Meniscus is the characteristics of water in which water forms a curve surface when it is placed in a cylindrical shape container.

    Explanation: In meniscus, the ends of water surface is slightly lower as compared to the middle which is slightly above. Meniscus occurs when the adhesive force is stronger than cohesive force. Adhesion occurs between water and container while cohesion occurs between water and water.
