Spinal anaesthetic is also called spinal block or subarachnoid block. It is a kind of regional anaesthesia wherein injection of local anaesthesia into subarachnoid space using fine needle is done. Some operations performed under spinal anaesthesia include prostate or genital operations, operations on the bone in the hips, legs or feet, operations on the womb, vagina or ovaries, operations on the blood vessels in the legs, groin hernias or ever caesarean section.

After the operation that you went through and you are now at the recovery room, the first sensation that returns is the touch and the last sensation will be your sensation of cold.
