    This is enzymatically catalyzed by the enzyme DNA ligase.

    DNA ligation is the joining ends of 2 DNA molecules by the enzyme, DNA ligase. DNA ligase catalyzes the formation of two covalent phosphodiester bonds between the 3' hydroxyl group of one nucleotides and the 5' phosphate group of another and it is an ATP dependent reaction.
