Ba-8 personal watercraft is considered to be a type of motorboat which is specifically designed to be operated by a person sitting, kneeling or standing on the vessel but not inside the vessel.

PWC include wet bikes and jet skis. A person who is towed by PWC is an occupant of PWC and the person is required to wear life-jackets.
