Why is it logical for the level of FSH to fall greatly after ovulation?

    It is logical for the level of FSH to fall greatly after ovulation because progesterone is produced after that. Progesterone causes a negative feedback mechanism, which in turn shuts down FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) secretion.
