What is the relationship between carcinogens and mutations how does this in turn affect the development of cancer?

    There is a big relationship between carcinogens and mutations. In other words mutagenicity and carcinogenicity are clearly correlated in that the carcinogenic agents cause cancer by inducing the mutations of the somatic cells, this is from the somatic mutation theory. Carcinogenc substances include, radionuclide, radiations which promote carcinogenesis, the formation of cancer, they induce mutations in the genes which results to development of tumor cells.
