An insured has homeowners insurance on his home and detached garage. He has just completed building another detached garage that he plans to use to store his boat and camper. The insured has also installed an alarm system in his home. In order to add coverage for the new garage and to receive a premium credit for the alarm system, what will the insurer need to do for the insured?

    Explanation:

    Remember, an insurance policy is of no use (void) if any adjustments in the contract is not endorsed by the insurer (the insurance company). Since the homeowner added another detached garage and he wants to benefit from coverage and also receive premium credit for the alarm system he will need to get the insurer notified so as to get their approval.
