The Scientific Management Approach is also known as Taylorism which was named after the one who proposed it, Frederick Winslow Taylor. His aim was to apply good management practices to engineering ans science. According to him, the leader should not merely assign any work tasks to random members. To be able to work more efficiently, he should assign the tasks corresponding to the aptitude and capabilities of each team member. Moreover, the work loads should be strategically distributed so that team leader would have more time in planning and in training his members. With Taylorism, this encouraged a smooth work management between members because they would get to know each other's strength and weaknesses.
