Growth rate is calculated by dividing Growth with time. First we need to convert the growth to micrometers to find the growth rate in micrometer. 1.9 Meter is 1.9 (10 to the power of 6) micrometers. That makes the growth = 1900000 micrometers. 14 days equals to 14 (24 hours) (60 minutes) (6o seconds) = 1209600 seconds. Now the growth rate in micrometer per second is = 1900000/1209600 = 1.57 micrometers/second.
