What does it mean to be a socially responsible consumer? Use an example to support your

explanation.

A socially responsible consumer is a person who takes into account social responsabillity of the company before consuming the goods or services it produces. He/she may decide to buy or not to buy a specific products because of the policies that the company tht produces it has in terms of social activities in which it is involved, or environmental changes it has made in order to decrease its environmental impact. Nowadays, there are global agreements about the need of take into account environmental and social effects related to different ways of production (see for example, the sustainable development goals of UN, particulary goal 12, which refeers to Responsible consumption and production). As an example, a person may decide not to buy certain clothes, if the brand that produce those clotes is damaging the environment (and this damage could be prevented if the company did things in other ways).
