According to world systems analysis, which type of nation is relatively independent of outside control?

    These are mostly known as the core countries. They are usually countries that have developed their industry so much that they don't rely on outside imports to produce goods so they can make things for themselves and don't need others. They can be both totalitarian and democratic since the type of rule is not connected to that if the country is rich on its own.
