Nathanael runs a government auto repair shop in the fictitious country of Zamiland. He would love to own his own shop, but he would have leave Zamiland to be able to do so. Each month the government's Ministry of Transportation secretly sends an inspector to make sure Nathanael is running the shop as required by the ministry's regulations. This month he is written up and fined for not disposing of used oil in the government's toxic waste receptacles. He could also be looking at jail time if this happens again. Nathanael is living with what type of economy?

    Explanation:

    Nathanael is under a communist regime. Their liberties do not apply anymore. He's nothing but a number in the large bureaucrat state. Torture and death arise from this system on which individuals has no rights. The ruling party has all the power and controls the "truth" at each level of society. He would face jail and forced labor like it happened in the Soviet Union, China and many other countries. As most people did during the 20th century; his best choices for progress are to leave the country. He's nothing but a medieval-serf living in our times as he cannot have property.
