    The origins of making "hearsay" inadmissible in court finds its origins in the mid 1500s. However, the U. S. Supreme has recognized, on many occasions, that hearsay is only presumed to be unreliable. Congress has narrowed the rule to allow "hearsay" but in extremely limited circumstances.
