    This despicable campaign strategy makes use of the concept of scapegoating. Scapegoating is putting the blame on another person or group for something they did not do. In this campaign strategy, the blame is being put on mexican-americans and the candidate is using that to try and sway votes. Scapegoating is frowned upon and is normally used as an ego defense mechanism.
