    A type of organization which "loans" resources to projects while still maintaining control over them is called matrix structural organization.

    It is a structure of a company in which reporting relationships have a setup like matrix, that’s why it is called matrix structural organization. There is a weak matrix organizational structure, strong organizational structure and balanced organizational structure.
