Aaron is experiencing the differences between low and high context culture.

The two terms "high context" and "low context" are used to label broad-brush (lack in detail) cultural differences among civilizations.

High context is where people have close influences over a long period of time. Many characteristics of cultural behavior are not finished clear because most individuals here know what to do and what to anticipate from years of communication with each other. While low context is where individuals have a habit to have many connections but of smaller period or for some detailed reason.
