Teams that have individuals from different parts of the organization are called cross-functional teams. A cross-functional team is easily defined as various people that are experts in different parts of an organization but work together to complete one common goal. Most organizations are known as cross-functional teams because the marketing department, operations, human resources and other organizations are all hoping to have the best product out there which is their common goal.
