    changing social attitude about working mother is not one of the commonly cite explanation.

    In the 1950, society's attitude towards working women is still really closed minded and most of them believe women belong in the kitchen. Increasing labor force of women in 1950 happened because of invention of household labor-saving devices such as dishwasher and microwave and the availability of reliable birth control.
