What are some of the factors complicating international expansion for a brand like disney? what can a multinational corporation do to mitigate these issues?

    Different countries have unique and different cultures. The tastes and the preferences of consumers also differs. Economic, legal, political and social barriers are difficult to overcome-even for the most successful corporations.

    Disney discovered this as its international parks experienced rocky beginnings.

    The company must pay close attention to cultural and social variances in global markets in order to succeed.

    The most critical factor has to do with different culture and the local vs international preference. Culture and socialic/zation may be a hindrance based on the content of the brand. it may be culturally unacceptable. In mitigation, these brands can modify the content to suit the need of the locals, and also invest in education programmes that educate the locals on the use and benefits of the modified content.
