Candidates to the Supreme Court of Texas

    Explanation:

The Supreme Court of Texas is composed of a chief justice and eight justices. Supreme Court justices are elected for staggered six-year terms, that means that only a fraction of the Court is elected at each election (similar to US Senate). If a justice cannot complete his/her 6 year term, then the governor can designate a justice in order to complete the term (must be ratified by State Congress).
