    11 employees

    Explanation:

Number of shirts fold by each employee = 49 shirts per hour

Demand = 4,420 shirts per day

    8 hour shift

Number of shirts fold by each employee in a day:

    = 49 shirts per hour * 8 hours

    = 392 shirts per day

Therefore, the number of employees needed to meet the demand is calculated as follows:

= Total demand per day : Number of shirts fold by each employee in a day

    = 4,420 : 392

    = 11.27 or 11 employees (Approx)
