With this in mind explain the importance of positive and negative controls in this test

    Answer: Controls are used to validate the results. They give the confidence that the result we have in the test is the right result. A positive control is important because we need to know that test is even working. It will contain the product that is needed to make the test positive. We are checking the sensitivity. A negative control is important to know that the test we are performing is not targeting groups that it shouldn't be targeting. A negative control will NOT contain the product that is needed to make it positive, which means it should be negative. We are checking the specificity.
