Ownership of your own learning is a concept that refers to an individual taking charge of his own progress. He is self motivated and is able to keep track of his own progress without any external motivators.

Active learning is the learning in which the individual is actively making use of the information he learned. He is actively processing the information and taking part in the utilization and discussion of that new material.

Passive learning is to just sit back and absorb all the information that is being provided to him. He does not use the knowledge immediately neither does he involve in cross questioning.
