A 17 year old boy first appeared in juvenile court to answer charges of vehicular homicide. The incident had occured when he was 16. By the time the case actually went to trialthe boy was 18. Should he be tried as an adult? (Commission v A Juvenile, 545 N. E. 2d 1164)

    A Minor can be tried Automatically as an Adult. It depends on the severity of a crime committed. Minors who are tried for crimes like Murder, Armed Robbery with a Firearm, aggravated criminal sexual assault etc. Minors who are tried for crimes of this nature will automatically be tried as adults in the court of law. The Boy is being tried for Vehicular homicide, the crime committed involves death of a person, The Boy should be Tried as an Adult even though the incident happened when he was a minor
