    Hello!

The answer is: No, most people do not remember their dreams.

    Why?

Most people do not remember their dreams, it's a common situation since most of our dreams occur while the REM sleep (Rapide eye movement). During the REM sleep, we are in an unconscious state, we usually are able to remember some of our dreams while the first moments/minutes of our awakening.

The scientific don't have the answer about why we can't remember most of our dreams, but there is a clue, during the REM sleep occurs several level changes in at least two neurotransmitters (noradrenaline and acetylcholine) that are very important for the memory retaining process, the level of those neurotransmitters drop drastically when we fall asleep.

    Have a nice day!
