Depending on the operations and focus of the business, the American corporation could be one of four types of an international business. International business is also a term, but it is the most generic and broad. Transnational, Global, Multinational, International companies cover the span of companies and the differences in names reflect the complexity of their involvement in overseas environments. A transnational is invested in varying degrees and different parts of its company being in different countries with independent operating processes throughout the world. A global company is best described with a product, like Coca-Cola, their message, product consistency is the same, more or less, every where in the world. A Multinational company changes its products and services depending on the local environment it is operating in, but does operate and own facilities in various countries. Finally, International companies represent the simplest form of international trade, importation and exportation of goods with no holdings abroad.
