    Explanation:

    If the effort invested is not constant of the time, the resulting S curve would distort the true relationship but when effort is constant, plotting performance against time would emanate the characteristics intended but if effort invested in tech decreases or increases over time makes the S curve to flatten out quickly or not to flatten out at all.
