There are 158 developing countries according to the International Monetary Fund, and they vary great in size and economic development. DVCs include countries with vibrant economies like China (second largest in the world), Chile, Brazil or even some European countries like Croatia and Ukraine which have grown significantly over the past decades.

But also some of the poorest nations in the world are classified this way and they haven't grown a lot in many years, e. g. all of Africa and many Asian nations like North Korea, Afghanistan, Brunei, etc.
