Well, for example, if we are talking about (1) You would not be able to move, unless you sell that home, so this would be a disadvantage. However, if your lease expired, you'd be able to move. (2) They would naturally want to maintain those apartments, because you get fixed costs for the term of the lease, and also, your equity is safe, so you are safe.
