The head of the marketing area told alex to find the most stringent regulations on advertising to create the toughest standards. "if we can pass those, we should be able to get by all regulations". one real problem is:

a. european countries have agreed to follow the us standards, so it's a matter of working with the us federal regulations.

b. the federal regulations create a uniform standard that would preempt all other regulations.

c. state regulations are not always consistent.

d. all of these are problems.

e. as long as the advertising does not contain sexually explicit content, there are no regulations.

    One real problem is C) state regulations are not always consistent with federal regulations. States have been pushing forward with more stringent regulations than federal law requires, which is a new turn of events. Thus, confusion occurs among marketing firms who are attempting to follow state and federal regulations.
