What is the name of the technique in which an advertiser implies that a product is widely used?

    The correct answer is bandwagon advertising. This is appealing to the buyer's sense that everyone is doing it and therefore ti should be done so the term bandwagon is used because jumping on a bandwagon is a metaphor for joining a group in something just because everyone is doing it.
